TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
